suggested timeline


Please find below our suggested timeline for your wedding day.  This is a suggested timeline only and is intended to be a helpful guideline. You are welcome to modify this to suit your unique and personal wedding style.

7 am

 The earliest allowable time that you are able to gain access to the Bridal suite for the Bride and her Bridesmaids to get ready (be sure to talk to Kim about this as contract states 10 am).

10 am

The team from The Barn 1906 arrives to open the barn.

11 am

Florist arrives to arrange flowers on tables and attend to other floral needs. 

1 pm

DJ arrives to set up the barn and, if applicable, the ceremony location.

3 pm

Groom and Groomsmen arrive for option First Look and/or photos.

3:30 pm

 Guests begin to arrive 1/2 hour before Ceremony.

4:00 pm

Ceremony begins. Ceremony is normally 20 - 30 minutes.

For a religious ceremony, prepare for approximately one hour. 

4:30 pm

Cocktail Hour at the barn and photos for the entire wedding party.

Lawn games can be put out at this time, if so desired.

5:45 pm

Announcement for guests to make their way to their seats at the Reception.

6:00 pm

Bridal Party is introduced and enters Reception. Grand Entrance of the new Mr. and Mrs.

Any announcements and house rules are announced at this time.

The Barn 1906 team will ensure that your Master of Ceremonies or DJ receives these prior to the Reception. 

6:30 pm

Dinner is served.

(Be sure to schedule time during/after dinner for toasts and speeches, shoe games, cake cutting and first dance if you wish to do so at this time). 


8:30 - 9 pm

Everyone moves to the dance floor side of the barn for First Dance, Father/Daughter dance and Mother/Son dance.

(Be sure to make time to do your bouquet toss. All the single ladies love this!)

10:30 - 11

Late night menu.

12 am

Last call.

12:30 am

Bar closes. Music is turned off.

1 am

Time to leave the barn and property.
